My experience during WIL
During WIL practice I have experience a lot of things according to orderliness and calm discipline in the school and in the classroom. I will start from outside the classroom which is the school. The school has order in every aspects, the teachers of that school respects each other and also all the learners of the school. The school staff arrive early before the learners whereby they hold their morning prayers before they go to assembly and their respective classes. After their prayer they then go to assembly where they teach the learners on how they must look like and show respect to others including their friends and teachers.
The school premises is clean, those who are late comers are punished by collecting papers around the school yard before they go to their classes. The learners are taught that when they see any teacher around the school premises they must greet that particular teacher and do whatever that teacher asked them to do.
In the classroom where I was practicing there was order, when the teacher was busy presenting a lesson the learners were showing their interest by listening to here even though there were those learners who were misbehaving, but she was disciplining them in a polite way, when you were making noise she was to tell that particular person to hold her/his mouth up until she told that learner to stop. For those learners who like to do their own things like drawing she tear them and throw them in the dustbin.
To maintain calm in her classroom the teacher gave the learners work after presenting the lesson and she will move around the class to each and every learner to see if they are doing as she instructed them and to avoid distraction. During class activities the teacher order one learner per row to distribute workbooks to the other learners to avoid distractions.
